Want to convert documents between formats? Try TOM Server: Document Conversion — it’s in beta, but works quite well. I especially like the Word-to-PostScript conversion… works quite well for simple documents.
IP Wars
This Slashdot story is undoubtedly about every IP (Intellectual Property, not Internet Protocol) worker’s worst fear — employers claiming copyright over things done by them in their spare time. In this context, Adam Hinkley’s words of advice and warning are a sobering eye-opener to almost anyone who’s ever signed an employment contract in an IP dominated business like software or biotech.
Rebooting
A combination of FTP problems at Geocities, an increasingly busy schedule and hiccups at Blogger meant that I could not post here for a long time. Well, now that I have some time to spare, I think I’ll be able to continue posting.
And Scour Exchange is no more.
